Ole Miss Makes 'Final Five' For Coveted, Four-Star Receiver

Ole Miss is listed among the "final five" for a four-star wide receiver from Spanish Fort (Ala.) High School.

Kris Abrams-Draine named Ole Miss, Tennessee, Oregon, Florida State and West Virginia in his latest round of cuts. Abrams-Draine also said those five programs will receive his five allotted official visits.

"First off, I would like to thank all of the coaches for recruiting me," Abrams-Draine wrote in an announcement he posted on Twitter. "After talking to my family and coaches I've decided to focus on my top five schools. I will take my official visits to the following..."

The 6-1, 170-pounder is rated as the nation's No. 63 wide receiver by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite index. He is the No. 15 player in the state of Alabama's 2020 class. Abrams-Draine camped at Ole Miss last Saturday.

"I've been here like three times now," Abrams told the Ole Miss Spirit following the camp. "Everyone here, from the coaches to the players to the fans. It's like a big family up here. Every time I come up here I like it more and more. I'm not getting ahead of myself, but I could really see myself here playing."

Ole Miss wide receivers coach Jacob Peeler is recruiting Abrams-Draine for the Rebels.

"He's a really good coach. He's big on your techniques. I have talked to a lot of the players, and they tell me he's a good coach and he's fair. He'll play whoever deserves to play. No politics, straight business approach. I'm looking for a coach to prepare me for the next level," said Abrams-Draine.

Ole Miss holds two of the three predicitions on Abrams-Draine 247Sports Crystal Ball. Tennessee holds the other. Following a visit to Tennessee in mid April, Abrams-Draine told John Garcia of 247Sports that Tennessee was his leader.

Abrams-Draine caught 44 passes for 584 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.
